Namul is a unique dish that can only be found in Korea. There are two main types of namul; Saengchae made by dressing fresh vegetables and Sukchae prepared by first blanching or boiling the ingredients. The base ingredients for namul, vegetables and greens which are harvested in the fields and mountains, are full of healthy vitamins and minerals. Namul should be mixed by hand in order to thoroughly blend the seasoning with vegetables. This gave rise to the expression that ‘taste comes from the finger tips’.
