Ssam bap – Rice with Leaf Wraps

Ssam-bap is cooked rice and condiments wrapped in fresh greens or seaweed leaves. Koreans have always been extremely skilled at bundling and wrapping things in cloth. It’s no wonder Koreans enjoy wrapping food at the table. Wild vegetables, herbs, seafood…Nothing is ‘un-wrappable’ as long as it can be placed on a leaf and held in the palm.
